The Brief:
Bearbox is a unique system to improve the efficiency of deliveries and collections throughout the UK. Bearbox customers can send deliveries or items for collection at hundreds of locations around the country, 24 hours a day. The system provides delivery personnel and customers dynamically with individual PIN numbers, giving security and instant electronic proof of delivery while eliminating the need for signatures. Deliveries can therefore be made round the clock, and journey times can be optimised according to road conditions.
The hub of the Bearbox network is the ‘Bearbox Management Centre’, and the company needed a cost-effective and reliable system to send and receive information to and from remote Bearboxes, and present data in a user-friendly way to clients and their delivery partners.
Solution:
Netstep designed a software solution that communicates with Bearboxes via SMS text messages, and with users via a combination of SMS, e-mail and web interface. Netstep continue to support and further develop the software and company website, as the solution and its range of applications continually evolves.
